Root Canal Treatment

Spontaneous pain and throbbing, sensitivity to hot and cold foods, severe decay, or an injury that creates an abscess (infection) in the bone necessitates removal of the infected or irritated nerve tissue that lies within the root of the tooth. It is this infected pulp tissue that causes an eventual abscess.

The procedure involves removing the infected pulp, cleaning and sealing the root canal with a sterile, plastic material called gutta-percha. This is done to prevent future infections. Root canals are usually followed by crowns to protect the tooth from fracture.

The treatment is typically performed under local anesthesia and is usually completed in one to three visits, depending on the complexity of the case. Patients may experience mild discomfort following the procedure, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.

By preserving the natural tooth, root canal therapy helps maintain normal biting force and sensation, protects other teeth from excessive wear or strain, and contributes to a healthier, more confident smile. Regular dental check-ups and good oral hygiene practices are essential to ensure the long-term success of the treated tooth.

Orthodontics Treatment

Many different types of appliances, both fixed and removable, are used to help move teeth, retrain muscles and affect the growth of the jaws. These appliances work by placing gentle pressure on the teeth and jaws. The severity of your problem will determine which orthodontic approach is likely to be the most effective.

An orthodontist reviews your dental records, performs a clinical assessment, takes X-rays of your mouth and head and makes models of the teeth by creating an accurate impression of them. The results of this evaluation are studied in order to formulate the best orthodontic treatment plan.Typically during the second visit, your orthodontist reviews the treatment plan and estimates the number of months for the active phase of treatment. The standard treatment phase is two years. Following treatment, you may be required to wear a retainer for a period of time.

Bridges Dental Treatment

The loss of a single tooth can have a major impact on your dental health and personal appearance. Your teeth support and rely on each other. When one or more teeth are missing, the remaining teeth can shift out of their normal position.

Teeth adjacent to the space or from the opposite jaw will often drift or tilt. These teeth are often more susceptible to decay and gum disease because they are more difficult to clean around. All of this shifting and drifting will lead to changes in the bite, which may put stress on the jaws, muscles and teeth. Ultimately, your ability to chew comfortably and your appearance may be affected

A bridge consists of a replacement tooth/teeth attached to crowns on each side. The bridge is cemented to the teeth adjacent to the space, effectively replacing the missing tooth and preventing any shifting.

The procedures involved in making a bridge are very similar to those for making a crown. Bridges can be made from the same materials as crowns – full porcelain, porcelain fused-to-metal, and all metal.

Dental Implant Treatment

A dental implant is a titanium screw that acts as an artificial tooth root, designed to support a replacement tooth. It naturally fuses with the jawbone, providing strong and permanent support.

Dental implants offer excellent aesthetics, long-term durability, and comfort. They help maintain facial structure, prevent bone loss, and improve both oral health and hygiene.

The procedure includes two main steps: implant placement and crown restoration, usually completed over 3 to 4 months, depending on individual healing. In some cases, a temporary tooth can be placed the same day using the immediate loading technique.

Implants are safe, reliable, and blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth. They are ideal for replacing one or more missing teeth without affecting the surrounding ones. Most patients report minimal discomfort and a quick recovery.

At Ghansala Dental Care, we offer advanced implant treatment with personalized care and precise planning to ensure a confident, long-lasting smile.

Porcelain Veneers Dental Treatment

Veneers are the choice of patients who prefer a long lasting cosmetic solution. Not only do veneers resolve smile deficiencies like chipped, gapped, stained, and misaligned teeth, they also provide the most beautiful results.

Dental veneers (sometimes called porcelain veneers or dental porcelain laminates) are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their color, shape, size, or length.Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials. Porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth. Resin veneers are thinner and require removal of less of the tooth surface before placement. You will need to discuss the best choice of veneer material for you with your dentist.

Veneers are a great option because they can last several years when applied correctly and with proper oral hygiene and regular dental checkups. Porcelain veneers are long-lasting and some patients have kept their veneers twenty years or more, depending upon their oral hygiene.
